Parent Advisory Council
Our Parent Advisory Council (PAC) consists of every parent or guardian of a student attending Anne McClymont Elementary School. A slate of executive officers is elected by the membership at the September Annual General meeting. The PAC typically meets once a month except for December, March and June, in the school library to discuss school news, provide input on policies and procedures, and conduct the business of the council. Educational opportunities that are of interest to parents will be offered throughout the school year. Each year the PAC hosts the Book Fair, Family Dance, Spring Fun Fair, and Silent Auction. The Fun Fair is our largest fundraising activity of the year which generates funds for many of the enrichment activities our children enjoy throughout the year. A newsletter of PAC
activities is published and distributed with the monthly school newsletter. To contact PAC executive members, please leave a message at the school office or contact an individual directly.
School Planning Council
School Planning Councils have been introduced to schools across British Columbia for the past few years. These councils consist of three elected parents including one P.A.C. executive member, and the principal. Their role is to support the process of continuous school improvement and accountability.
